
Elizabeth Collaton
Elizabeth joined the Board in 2022. She brings over 30 years of nonprofit experience in environmental and civic participation issues. She has worked as a policy analyst, grassroots organizer, philanthropist and fundraiser on issues including solid waste management, source reduction, brownfield redevelopment, voter participation, ocean conservation and public media. She is a nearly newly-minted Extension Master Gardener. She is a liaison to the Washington-Liberty Victory Garden Club. She, her husband Gene and kids Andrew and Lauren have called Arlington home since 1991. Elizabeth’s interests center around climate change impacts on urban environments, the establishment and dissemination of best practices for sustainability across our neighborhoods, and the potential of FOUA to model an impactful legacy of environmental stewardship for all who live, learn and work in Arlington.
