Give a Gift for our Local Food Future!

We want to thank you for being part of Friends of Urban Agriculture this past year. We hope you can consider a donation this holiday season. If you’ve made a donation this year, we thank you.

With the help of scores of volunteers, donors, and partners, we are making progress toward having a fair, healthy, sustainable local food system for all Arlingtonians. We invite you to make a donation today so we can carry on our progress into 2024.

We want to thank you for helping FOUA accomplish so much this year:

Plot Against Hunger gardens donated over 15,000 pounds of fresh produce to local food pantries, and a hardy group of gleaners donated over 45,300 pounds! There are now over 40 gardens. Plot Against Hunger and Master Gardener volunteers hosted several Wednesday Garden Talks at Central Library.

FOUA, in partnership with Northern Virginia Conservation Trust, launched a new public garden called Terborgh Terrace Garden.

FOUA’s first demonstration garden in a public space, Highlands Urban Garden, completed its third successful growing season, donating over 1500 pounds in 3 years.

FOUA hosted several outreach events such as the Spring Garden Kickoff, our first “State of the Onion,” October Urban Ag Month events, and our annual meeting, at which we awarded the Golden Radish to Audrey Morris for dedicating ten years to cultivating urban agriculture and launching FOUA.

FOUA board members participated on the County’s Food Security Coalition, and supported the County’s urban agriculture economic development efforts.

With your support we can make an even greater impact in 2024! Please make a donation today!

THANK YOU!
