Hoffman-Boston Elementary’s instructional gardens are in the middle of a renovation, and you can help. The gardens played an integral part in 2020’s Victory Garden Project, raising over 500 lbs of produce for local school and community food banks. The gardens have been awarded a matching $500 buy-one get-one free plant grant from Earth Sangha which will be used to purchase native plants through the fall to ensure the sustainability of the Habitat and Memorial gardens, while reducing resources to manage these areas. Any additional funds raised will go towards infrastructure repairs, like replacing rotted landscape timbers, and purchasing much needed tools.
